a place to eat

Kuntz's Drive-In at Abilene, Kansas
Kuntz's Drive In

There are many things I could say about this...

update

I can't resist.

I've heard that if you eat there you risk getting hair stuck in your teeth.

If it merged with Super Duper Weenie would it be renamed In 'n' Out?

Imagine the advertising : "Eat at Kuntz's - your wife will appreciate it (because, you know, then she won't have to cook for you)"

g&t, 1.618 does not own the restaurant so I'm not sure who you'll need to talk to get a franchise license.

That's a bit filthy isn't it G&T?

sorry, gin&tonic vulgar can be funny but it needs a hint of ambiguity - I found your comment over the line so I deleted it. Feel free to try again but keep in mind that I may be a bit protective of certain subjects.

Bah if 1.618 can be smutty then what are the rules for everyone else? and you didn't find it smutty until ash said so colonel. stop being such a sheep. if ash is so offended then you need to remove the Kuntz blog too. How can you be offended by one thing and not the other even though they're both using the same language?

more consistency please.

Gin&Tonic, when has 1.618 been smutty? I'd like links and evidence please.

The Kuntz blog is funny because it is not specific to one person, it is directed at a store (not a person) with a funny name that allows for much amusement.

Your post was not funny because it was directed at one person, as is your latest display of how badly you take a very politely put paragraph of criticism. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if that is removed too, merely because it's rude, crude, and inappropriate.

Now, about your original post, and your latest one. How would you feel if I was to write somewhere on the Internet that you're an easy catch? Most people would be insulted. And rightly so.

I don't make the rules here or at any other blog, but there are standards that most blogs have which are quickly learned by observing what comments are up. Your comment obviously displeased the Colonel and breached his standards. Man up, accept it, and post more relevant, more polite, and much funnier stuff than you are now.

And if you're going to continue to say it was a joke, why don't you just admit it didn't come off like you hoped? Happens to all of us that way. Or if you don't, I think it could make your joke even funnier if the Colonel left it up so I can link to it every time you post at Blair's? I'd love for everyone else to enjoy your joke too!

Easy, context and ambiguity. Re-read what I wrote beneath the picture. Each sentence could be about a restaurant or something else. Your comment lacked any double meaning. "Come and Eat at Kuntz's! Always Open!" is funny. Note that someone's "Kuntz's" is a someone's restaurant(with a potential double meaning) but someone's "Kuntz" is a misspelling. Implying someone has a franchise license could have a doublemeaning and could be funny. How about :

He got a franchise license and opened the restaurant but no one would eat at Gin&Tonic's Kuntz's because even the spaghetti tasted like fish.
or
Gin&Tonic bought into the restaurant because spending 8 hours a day inside a Kuntz's would be a dream job.

Take note: I reserve the right to be oversensitive about anything concerning 1.618.
