Context matters

Betty and Me #16 comic book where the text out of context of the image could sound more sexually suggestive than one expects for an Archie Comic. Specifically, Betty asks 'Archie, did you have any trouble rescuing me?' and he responds 'I sure did Betty! I had to beat off three other guys'

    btw, I owned that particular comic as a child and, at the time, I never noticed anything untoward about it. Until I took another look at it as a teenager.

    Here is another comic I owned that seemed completely innocent at the time.
